The LBK System BUS from Inxpect: The First Safety Radar with a Fieldbus

The flexibility of a Fieldbus,
the safety of the LBK System.

 

Inxpect is thrilled to announce the release to market of the LBK System Bus, a Fieldbus version of its unique safety radar system used worldwide to detect operator access and presence in dangerous areas, in any environmental conditions (dust, smoke, water aerosols).

The key of the new Bus system is the ISC-B01 control unit that, thanks to its Ethernet-based safety bus, allows the dynamic setting of detection areas and other operating parameters in real-time. Furthermore, an additional Ethernet connection allows the system to be controlled remotely, with the additional guarantee supplied by the most advanced cybersecurity protocols.
The system is composed of a ISC-B01 control unit that manages two detection areas (alarm and warning) and connects to up to six LBK-S01 sensors.

 

REAL-TIME, DYNAMIC SETTING OF THE DETECTION PARAMETERS
The new ISC-B01 controller allows the real-time dynamic setting of the detection parameters:

• detection areas (alarm and warning)
• distance (1 m to 4 m)
• coverage angle (50° vs. 110°)
• safety function (access control only vs. dual mode)
• restart timeout
• up to 4 selectable configurations using digital inputs
• up to 32 selectable configurations using the Fieldbus

 

FULL INTEGRATION WITH OTHER MACHINERY
The industry standard, Ethernet-based safety Fieldbus on the ISC-B01 allows the LBK System Bus to be transparently integrated with any safety PLC, and enables it to exchange complex information in full safety, including the operator’s position in real-time.

 

DIGITAL INPUTS
The controller has two dual-channel TYPE 3 digital inputs with common ground that can be used to manage muting functions, emergency and restart-enable controls.

 

SAFETY OUTPUTS
The controller has two dual-channel safety outputs with extended protection
functions for alarms, direct and indirect securing of the machinery.
