Whether for sturdy gripping in a machine tool, standard gripping, or micro-gripping in electronics manufacturing, the range of grippers from Festo covers a wide variety of applications.
Types of Grippers:
Mechanical Grippers
Mechanical grippers can be controlled either pneumatically or electrically. Festo offers both pneumatic and electric grippers with long strokes. Mechanical grippers also differ with respect to the number of gripper jaws. There are pneumatic grippers with two gripper jaws in parallel, radial, and angled gripper design. There are also pneumatic grippers with three gripper jaws.
Electric Grippers
The concept of the electric standard gripper is based on simplicity and low complexity – all the electronics are integrated into the gripper, which means that an external motor controller is not required. It is designed to repeatedly perform simple and standardized movements.
Vacuum Grippers
For faster evacuation, greater productivity, and maximum flexibility thanks to vacuum generation in a customer-specific housing. Just drill a hole in the machine and insert the vacuum generator cartridge without its housing into the hole. This decentralized solution requires minimal space and opens up a wide variety of applications.
Adaptive Grippers
This gripper with no defined edges has a vast array of gripping benefits within a single unit. Create form-fitting gripping around products with different geometries. Thanks to the gentle suction cup effect delicate products of varying sizes may be gripped.
Universal Robots UR+ End Effectors
The front unit of a robot arm is key to automating the pick-up of parts. Whether you opt for a clamping gripper, adaptive shape gripper, or vacuum suction, we offer robot gripper kits that are specially adapted to robot arms by Universal Robots for all these applications.
