At Allied Automation, we are celebrating 35 years in the business of providing advanced automation solutions and services for our customers’ manufacturing processes. Founded by Greg Dill on January 1, 1981, Allied Automation has grown into a company that provides leading edge innovations for customers.
The Early Days
Prior to founding Allied Automation, local US manufacturing was supported by specialized distributors in the areas of electrical, fluid power, bearing / belting and machine tools. As technology advanced, especially in electronics and data processing, there was a growing need in the industry for a provider of automation products and services that was a collective hybrid. This hybrid consisted of integrated electronics, mechanical, pneumatic and other technologies that would provide customers with advanced flexible manufacturing automation solutions. This was the inspiration and motivation for starting Allied Automation, a company that could help manufacturers migrate from early technology in their current manufacturing processes to the evolving advanced technologies that could enhance productivity and profitability.
Establishing Great Partnerships
Allied Automation’s first partner and vendor was Festo, a global leader, innovator, manufacturer and provider of products, systems and services for manufacturing and process automation. Mitsubishi Electric, providing high performance motion control, PLC, VFD and robotic technology products, is another long-term and valued partner that has been with Allied for over 13 years.
Today, Allied Automation is proud to have over 47 partners that are providing leading solutions for manufacturers. With so many great advances in technology, our product offerings have evolved into robotics, mechatronics, vision, control networking and remote enterprise data collection and control.
At Allied, we would like to express our gratitude, especially to our customers. We want you to know that we are grateful for your business, relationships and friendships that we have developed and enjoyed throughout the years. Though there are always challenges associated with high performance, the satisfaction and success of our customers that we’ve helped is what keeps it exciting and worthwhile for our team. And to our employees, there would be no success without the individual and collective performance of our Allied Automation team. We are fortunate to have exceptionally talented people that enhance the service and solutions we provide to our customers. Whether you have been here for over 25 years, 15 years, 10 years, or yesterday, we are so glad you are here.
